广东省制冷学会是广东省科学技术协会领导下广东地区制冷科技工作者的学术团体，成立于一九七九年。学会目前已发展团体会员110个，个人会员1400余人，他们是全省制冷空调专业的精英，在一定程度上代表了广东省制冷技术水平，也是我省制冷科技人才库的主要依据。
    学会自成立以来，在广东省科协领导下，在中国制冷学会指导下，认真履行社团的桥梁纽带职责，积极开展各项学术活动，取得显著的成绩，促进了科学技术繁荣和人才成长，也凭籍学会的智力、技术优势，推进科技成果转化为生产力，为企业技术进步和产业优化升级服务，使学会有较强的凝聚力。我会连年被评为中国制冷学会及广东省科协系统的先进集体，先进学会。
广东省制冷学会设有学术、咨询、科普、编辑四个委员会，以及七个专业委员会，均由省内制冷界的资深学者、专家和专业人士担任主任委员、委员，组织开展各项相关活动。
本团体的业务范围：
    一、组织国内制冷（含低温工程，下同）空调及相关领域内的学术技术交流活动。
    二、编辑和出版《制冷》期刊、制冷技术、信息、资料和制冷科普读物。
    三、开展科技普及、科技咨询和科技服务活动，组织制冷技术培训和继续教育。
    四、接受政府和有关部门的委托，对经济建设中有关制冷空调科技的重大决策进行科技咨询；推荐国家科技攻关项目；项目论证；制冷科技成果鉴定；制冷产品的质量评议、鉴证；制冷技术水平评定；制冷科技文献收集和制冷标准的制、修订及编译。
    五、充分利用中国制冷学会加入国际制冷学会的有利条件，组织会员出席国际学术会议，参观、考察国外制冷技术或参加国外制冷展，以促进广东省制冷科学技术的发展。
    六、举办国际性制冷、空调、暖通及冷冻食品加工展览会和各类专题研讨会。
    七、开展厂会协作、金桥工程，加强与企业的合作，依靠科技发展制冷产业。
    八、反映会员的要求和呼声，发现和推荐人才，保护会员合法权益，协助政府有关部门处理因制冷产品及相关工程引发的经济纠纷和案例。
    为适应形势的需要，经批准成立了隶属广东省制冷学会的“广东珠江制冷空调技术开发公司”，承担制冷空调工程和设备开发、转让、咨询服务，这是学会面向经济建设的服务窗口。该公司设有保温工程部，食品保鲜中心，暖通空调部，水处理部，对外承接相关业务。
由广东省制冷学会联合河南省、云南省、福建省、广西区制冷学会主办的《制冷》期刊（季刊）创刊于1982年，国内外公开发行，是《中国学术期刊（光盘版）》首批成员刊物，连续两届荣获广东省优秀科学技术期刊奖。被国际制冷学会列入馆藏刊物和推存传播刊物。

Brief Introduction to Guangdong Provincial Association of Refrigeration
     Guangdong Provincial Association of Refrigeration (GDRA), founded in 1979, is an academic group comprising of refrigeration science & technology practitioners of Guangdong area, under the lead of Guangdong Provincial Association of Science & Technology. At present, GDRA has 110 group members, most of which are research & design institution, college, enterprise and engineering company, and 1400 individual members, to some extent, representing the technical level of refrigeration technology of Guangdong.
    Since the foundation of GDRA, GDRA plays a key role as a bridge in holding all kinds of academic activities, national & international symposium and technical lecture, publishing technical journal and proceedings, as well as in different activities such as technical consultation, new products presentation, refrigeration & air-conditioning exhibition and science generalization etc. We obtain huge support from our members and gain remarkable achievements. All of these activities promote the development of science & technology and talented persons, and exchange between science & technology and productivity.
GDRA consists of 4 committees: scientific, consulting, science generalizing & editing, and 7 professional committees, which are both leaded by scholars, experts and professionists of Guangdong provincial refrigeration sphere. Range of business including:

1. Organizing national academic symposium of refrigeration (including cryogenic engineering) & air-conditioning and relevant field.

2. Editing & publishing ‘Refrigeration’ journal and other refrigeration science generalization literatures.

3. Developing science generalization, consultation and service, organizing national and international training of refrigeration technology.

4. Commissioned by government department, providing consultation for vital decision on refrigeration & air-conditioning science & technology; recommending national science & technology project; quality assessment & accreditation; constituting and revising literature and standard.

5. Organizing members to attend international refrigeration conference or visit international refrigeration exhibition.

6. Holding international exhibition & symposium on refrigeration, HVAC and freezing foods process etc.

7. Intensifying cooperation with refrigeration enterprises.

8. Protecting the legal rights of our members.
    For the requirements of present situation, “Guangdong Pearl River Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Technology Development Corporation” was founded and undertook such business as refrigeration & air-conditioning engineering, equipments development & cession and consultation services etc., which is a window of GDRA.
‘Refrigeration’ journal (Quarterly), originated in 1982, is a scientific & technical journal on refrigeration and air-conditioning science & technology, sponsored by Guangdong Provincial Association of Refrigeration in cooperation with Henan, Yunnan, Fujian and Guangxi Provincial Association of Refrigeration, and issued openly to national and international readers. Also, it was collected by Chinese Academic Journals (CD version) in the first batch and awarded the Guangdong Provincial Excellent Scientific & Technical Journal Prize for two consecutive times. Furthermore, it is an IIR recommended journal.
